Reigniting traditional herbal ways to restore after birth

A nourishing, hands-on workshop dedicated to postpartum care and recovery for the mother.

Join us to cook Ayurvedic, nutrient-dense postpartum foods and prepare medicinal herbal teas in a supportive and welcoming space.

What to expect

• Herbal tea on arrival

• We’ll learn about the first forty days after birth and why what you eat and drink during this time really matters.

• Hands-on cooking guided by Desi, an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula

• Herbal tea blending with Julie, a Clinical Herbalist

• A chance to taste delicious, deeply nourishing postpartum foods and teas

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for anyone who feels called to explore Ayurveda more deeply. It is especially supportive if you are preparing for pregnancy, currently pregnant, or caring for women during pregnancy and postpartum.

It is also a beautiful offering for mothers who have experienced postpartum before and wish to approach this sacred window next time with more nourishment, intention, and support.

Why join?

This workshop is an invitation to feel truly held in your postpartum. A time where the mother is nourished just as deeply as she nourishes her baby.

Through warm, wholesome meals and gentle medicinal herbal teas, we focus on restoring your strength after birth, supporting breastfeeding, balancing hormones, and rebuilding your vital energy.

We believe that when the mother is well nourished, it creates a positive ripple effect for the baby and the whole family. We also believe in the power of community and the healing effect of women coming together to support one another.

Vine leaves – aka warak in Arabic – are at the heart of Palestinian homes, culture and food. Growing up, warak rolling was a communal effort that brought Haya, her mama and tetas together. During their sessions, they would catch up on life, chat about the latest gossip and share a memory together.

In true Haya’s Kitchen fashion and in preservation of this tradition, you’re invited to join the next warak rolling therapy workshop. During the session, you’ll get to learn the skill of warak rolling, listen to Haya’s tales and traditions, and work together as a community to roll warak for your next gathering. You’ll get to take your rolled warak home with a copy of Haya’s family recipe to keep the tradition going.

Please note that the workshop includes beef and there is no vegetarian alternatives available.

During their sessions, they would catch up on life, chat about the latest gossip and share a memory together.
