A Night of ‘Unspoken’ Followed by Poetry By Farah Chamma
Join us for an evening of film, poetry and delicious food. On Friday, March 19, Kave will host a special screening of Lebanese director Samia Badih’s short film ‘Unspoken’, which follows the story of Palestinian poet Farah Chamma. ‘Unspoken’ has screened at more than 30 festivals around the world and has won three awards. “Unspoken” is about spoken word poet Farah Chamma who, at the age of 17, became an online sensation after her poems went viral. A well-known poet today, Farah finds her poetry at odds with the world she lives in.
Following a Q&A with the director and poet, the amazing Farah Chamma will recite some of her recent poetry live. Come enjoy delicious nibbles by Haya’s Kitchen, all in one evening.
Space is limited, pre-booking is a must.
