We aim to spread a culture of handcrafting and to help others enjoy the many benefits of handcrafts! This fun 3-hour beginner’s workshop aims to give young kids and even adults the basic skills they need to begin their crochet journey. We’ll help you craft your dreams!

Why should kids join?

1. Crocheting helps kids develop self-discipline and improve their hand-eye coordination.

2. Kids can develop a screen-free hobby that helps pass time in a fun, creative, and productive way.

3. The feeling of satisfaction that comes with making their own flowers will be worth all the hard work!

4. Learning beginner crochet skills can be developed over time and well into adulthood.
The possibilities of crocheting are endless!

Craftoum Creations is a fiber art studio that utilizes various handcrafting skills like crochet and sewing to make a diverse range of products. Our journey began in Sudan in 2013 where we held many workshops and events. Founded by Mais Abdullah Saleh, a vet with 10 years of experience in crochet, specializing in Amigurumi and
baby toys; and Hala Osman Gaafar, a vet, artist, and cat lover, teaching a range of skills including hats, gloves, baby accessories. Our goal is to emphasize the importance of hobbies and to raise awareness of their benefits and their contributions to daily life. We have conducted multiple workshops with children as well as adults. We have even worked with people of determination at the Cheshire Home for disabled children in Khartoum.
We have collaborated with various institutes like The British Council, The Dutch Embassy, The Japanese Embassy, JICA, The Institute of African and Asian Studies, DAL group,The Zol and Zola Club, Khartoum Cleaning Campaign and their Green Shared Space, and the Sudanese Youth Club. We were involved in various causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Recycling and various environmental causes, safe swimming practices in the Nile, and promoting Sudanese and Japanese culture.
