Ghassan Kanafani in the Eyes of Children | غسان كنفاني في عيون الأطفال
Ghassan Kanafani is known for his novel and short stories about Palestine, but he also writes for children. One of his most famous children stories is “The Little Lamp”. In this workshop, we will read a story that talks about the life of Ghassan Kanafani, and then children will design a lamp dedicated for his memory.
كان غسان كنفاني واحدا من أشهر الأدباء الفلسطينيين في مجال الرواية والقصة القصيرة، وكان أيضا يكتب للأطفال. واحدة من أشهر القصص التي كتبها كانت “القنديل الصغير”. في هذه الورشة التفاعلية، سنقرأ قصة عن حياة غسان كنفاني، ونتعرف إليه أكثر، ومن ثم سيقوم الأطفال بتصميم قنديل يهدى إلى ذكرى هذا الكاتب الكبير.

For about 15 years, I have written and covered different events in the Middle East as a journalist. In addition to my day time job, I had a passion for children stories; including: reading, writing, illustration, animations, audio productions and much more. After all this time, I realized that every part of our lives has a story, and we need to know how to tell it. For that reason, I have worked on a number of workshops to create a unique relationship between children and books, and give them the inspiration and motivation to tell their stories and express their opinions in their own words.
