29 Feb Ramadan Iftar: Haya’s Kitchen- Palestine
Ramadan Kareem and welcome back to Haya’s Kitchen! This Ramadan, join us for a traditional Palestinian Iftar. Haya will be taking you on a culinary journey around Palestine, bringing family recipes and comforting dishes from the land. Break your fast at the table, get to know some new faces, and listen to the tales and traditions of Palestine.
Iftar menu includes:
Appetizers
Lentil Soup with homemade croutons
Bamiyeh Bil Zeit with Palestinian bread
Main Dish
Msakhan with Oven Roasted Chicken and sumac onions on taboon bread with fried nuts and yoghurt
Dessert
Walnut & Cheese Qatayef with sugar syrup
Drinks
Carob Jallab
Tea with Miramiyeh
This is a 4 part experience and includes chicken, nuts, dairy, legumes and gluten. Please note that there are no substitutions available throughout Ramadan.
This experience is a part of KAVE’s interconnectedness series for Ramadan 2024. Since Ramadan is the month of being mindful, grateful, and caring for ourselves and each other, and since KAVE has always been a community of kind curious knowledge seekers, we invite you this year on a journey of understanding global cultures through a series of communal gatherings over food, music, storytelling, poetry, and workshops. We open our doors to heal, move, and understand our interconnectedness as our ancestors did, through community.
