11 Jun Jesmonite Workshop
Join this workshop at Kave and learn to design your own trinket tray and coaster with colors and themes that represent our beloved Palestine.
This Introduction to Jesmonite workshop is perfect for beginners looking to try out an award-winning product. This water-based material is enjoying its moment in the design spotlight as artists use it to create all sorts of stunning homeware. It is nontoxic, water-based 2 part resin that dries to an opaque stone-like finish and is safe to work with and as well as environmentally conscious (in comparison to resin or fiberglass)
Jesmonite can be used to replicate the appearance and texture of any surface finish, and even the finest of detail. It is strong and durable, can be pigmented to any color, and used to create decorative surface effects. It is often used as a lightweight alternative to stone and concrete. It has become an increasingly popular material widely used by artists, designers, and prop-makers.
Learn how to mix the 2 components, know all the dos and don’ts of the product, and finally add pigments to the Jesmonite and cast them into the trinket base.
