It is nontoxic, water-based 2 part resin that dries to an opaque stone-like finish and is safe to work with and as well as environmentally conscious (in comparison to resin or fiberglass)
Jesmonite can be used to replicate the appearance and texture of any surface finish, and even the finest of detail. It is strong and durable, can be pigmented to any color, and used to create decorative surface effects. It is often used as a lightweight alternative to stone and concrete. It has become an increasingly popular material widely used by artists, designers, and prop-makers.
Learn how to mix the 2 components, know all the dos and don’ts of the product, and finally add pigments to the Jesmonite and cast them into the trinket base.

Sanaa Merchant is known for traditional painting themes with a modern perspective. The artist’s practice ranges from ornamental works to modernism in abstract and calligraphic forms. Furthermore, her recent works & methods have shifted focus in modern abstracts as well in her high interest in resin art has experimented her to create everyday functional art for corporates and the everyday buyer making her art trendy & affordable. The artist gives various trainings in the field of art and resin for both basic and extensive trainings preparing students to excel in their endeavors. Merchant has participated in both regional and international exhibitions and is also part of the collection building art studio located in the heart of Sharjah, under the Sharjah Art Foundation.
