Welcome to Nite Tales!
In the spirit of the ancient tradition of musaamara – storytelling in the desert nights- this special monthly gathering showcases tales told by ordinary people about their extraordinary, real experiences!
Storytelling is one of human civilization’s first forms of art, and has been carried through the ages by talented orators and writers. Now, Nite Tales invites people to do the same at an event where community members take the stage and share their unique anecdotes with others, in hopes of inspiring thought, awareness, laughter, or reflection.
What makes the stories special? They are not works of fiction and not performance-based!
Nite Tales is an experience in public speaking to peers and a springboard for inspiring people through passionate communication. It was previously held at the Arjaan Rotana, Dubai Media City.

Zaid Adham is an Palestinian-Canadian writer, producer, and director with international credits in both film and television. He is best-known as the author of Wayl- the first psychological thriller graphic novel to come out of the Middle East, and has been featured in publications such as Gulf News, Khaleej Times, and the LA Times, as well as the 2015 International Journal of Comic Art.His ‘Tryst: Romancing Culture’ projects, beginning with Nite Tales, reflect his passion for being an “observer of humanity.”
