Welcome to the first of many cooking workshops with Haya’s Kitchen!  

Vine leaves – aka warak in Arabic – are at the heart of Palestinian homes, culture and food. Growing up, warak rolling was a communal effort that brought me, my grandmothers and mom together. As we would roll the warak, we’d catch up on life and chat about all things important.  

In true Haya’s Kitchen fashion and in celebration of this tradition, you’re invited to the first warak rolling gathering at KAVE. During our session, I’ll be sharing the stories of our vine leaves as I teach you our precious rolling techniques. Once we’ve filled the pot with our beautiful rolled vine leaves, we’ll be sitting down to eat some of my home-cooked warak with cucumber yoghurt.  

Each spot includes the workshop and a dish of cooked warak with lamb chops and zucchini.  

Please note that this is a meat dish and there are no vegetarian substitutes.
