Storytelling in Motion is a technique that blends non verbal communication with physical theatre, mime, and dance in order to create stories that move rather than speak. In this quick introduction, we’ll look at how the technique works and use it to create short movement stories based on prompts from the participants.
Great for anyone looking to be more expressive and confident with their movements, and open for pure beginners as well as experienced professionals looking to unlock new dimensions of their physicality.

Gillian Rhodes is an American performer and storyteller with 12 years global experience. A graduate of Columbia University, she has performed in 20+ cities in 9 countries around the world. She choreographed award-winning film Kamli by Sarmad Khoosat and has performed at TEDx events in France and Pakistan, along with choreographing for TV in Cambodia, touring with a South Korean dance company, and appearing in a recent Pakistani film as an actor. She writes and designs her own performances and enacts them with a blend of genres, captivating audiences with her unique ability to weave compelling stories. She has taught performance and choreography in universities. Gillian speaks multiple languages and, with a variety of cultural experiences, has an extraordinary ability to connect and understand how stories work in any setting. A skilled writer as well, she draws on her diverse experiences and knowledge to guide clients from around the world to realize deep, powerful performances grounded in humanity.
