Join us for a special Ana Min Hunak discussion on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022. We’ll be discussing In the Presence of Absence by Mahmoud Darwish, a Palestinian icon who needs no introduction. The collection of prose poems explores themes of love, pain, isolation, and connection where Palestine becomes a metaphor for the injustice and pain of our contemporary moment. Ana Min Hunak hopes to serve as a safe space to explore our relationship with our shared, yet personal, Palestinian identity. We hope to engage in thought-provoking discussion every month surrounding a different book, as well as develop a sense of community and a means for a deeper education of our rich history and culture.
