Avatars of the Anthropocene: A game for storytellers
Avatars of the Anthropocene is a cooperative storytelling game in development, created by performing artist and storyteller Gillian Rhodes. Great for storytelling enthusiasts, the game presents multiple exciting scenarios for players to choose from, featuring topics such as space, climate change, technology, and more. Players customize their Avatars and guide them through the scenario, upgrading them as they go to complete their character journey while working with the other players to manage the overall storyline. Along the way, they can pick up idea cards for random twists and turns or even grab a “Plot Twist” card to flip the story on its head!
The game is suitable for ages 12 and up and can be played with 2-4 players. Bring a friend or two and enjoy an afternoon creating a world of your own!
Note: Avatars of the Anthropocene is in development – this session is essentially a beta test, and player feedback will directly contribute to the ongoing development of the game. The fee for the session goes directly to the printing fees for the prototype.
