Be the first to test an original storytelling game, Avatars of the Anthropocene! The game is currently in prototype stage and this event is for players to test out and share feedback, directly shaping the final product. The event is free but registration is required and slots are limited. Please be on time so we can begin the games together. 

“For as long as humans have been human, they have gathered together to tell and share stories, stories that make sense of the world, that allow us to understand ourselves and our circumstances while also providing hope and entertainment. In Avatars of the Anthropocene, storytellers are tasked with stepping into this noble tradition, using stories to help their Avatars deal with their unique contexts – some that just might become our own someday. 

The world of Avatars of the Anthropocene presents a not-so-distant future where humanity is locked in the struggles of the climate emergency, automation, and space debris. Intense changes sweep the world, but in the end, people are still people, trying to live the best they can. 

As a storyteller, you must guide your Avatar through the complex maze of the Anthropocene, working with and against the other Avatars as they attempt to fulfill their personal goal. The players collaboratively weave together the thread of the story, with each storyteller moving their Avatar from their initial red version through their bronze and silver variations, until all storytellers unite to play the final gold card. The group wins if they manage to find an ending that fulfills all Avatars’ goals.”
