Zein will take you through the origins of dabkeh and the beautiful community feel that birthed this folk dance, and then we will go into the practical steps so that you can learn to do it yourself and keep this deeply routed Palestinian tradition alive!

Dabkeh is more than just a dance, it is a powerful ritual, where stomping in unison on the ground invokes an amazing sense of community, strength, and union. Conscious movement, through powerful art such as Dabkeh, is part of our DNA.

Please do wear relaxed clothes and comfortable shoes as it is quite a workout.

And then you will get to feast on Mama May’s delicious Palestinian cooking.
