Join us for an evening of music. This concert celebrates the Arabic and Flamenco inspired world music  in an instrumental delight.

The name of the band MAQAMUNDO reflects its program: it is a fusion of Arabic music (MAQAM) and Flamenco music (MUNDO: Spanish word meaning world). It stands for music which brings together Oriental and Western culture in a fresh and modern way.
Besides well-known pieces from the Arabic and Spanish tradition MAQAMUNDO is mainly performing the compositions of Maruan Betawi. This is also reflected in the band’s debut album „Orient spirit“ (released in 2020).
MAQAMUNDO is based in Munich-Germany. The four band members are all great specialists in their instruments pursuing their individual artistic carriers in di􏰪erent national and international projects and bands.
