From Nature to the Hand: A Curatorial Practice from Korea
From Nature to the Hand is a curatorial exhibition that invites visitors to slow down and reconnect with the quiet rhythm of making.
Inspired by the UAE’s pearl heritage and Korea’s mother-of-pearl craft (najeon), the exhibition explores how nature, material, and human hands carry stories of care, endurance, and renewal.
Presented in collaboration with KAVE – The Story of Things, this project offers a day of shared creativity through a mini exhibition, a curatorial talk, and a live demonstration — reimagining tradition as a living dialogue between cultures.
Visitors can experience a full day of creative exchange and cultural dialogue:
🖼 11:00 – 18:00 – Mini Exhibition: Korean Traditional Art Showcase
Explore hanging scrolls and ceramic works that bridge contemporary design with centuries-old craftsmanship.
🌿 13:30 – Hands-on Workshop: Mother-of-Pearl Upcycling
Transform discarded materials into delicate ornaments inspired by Korean najeon craft and the UAE’s pearl heritage.
