Game Testing – Avatars of the Anthropocene Storytelling Game
Be one of the first to play an original storytelling game, Avatars of the Anthropocene! The game is currently in prototype stage and this event is for players to test the game and share feedback, directly shaping the final product. Please be on time so we can start all together! Games usually last 1-1.5 hours to complete. The 30 AED reservation fee reserves your spot and contributes to the printing costs for the prototype.
Avatars of the Anthropocene takes place in the near future. Storytellers choose a scenario from categories of Space, Technology, Climate, and Politics & Business, and select one of the four Avatars: The Man in the Suit, The Lady in Red, The Clown, or The Alien. Storytellers work together to advance the story while also playing for the coveted Gold card that allows them to decide how the story ends. Stretch your creative muscles and enjoy the magic of telling stories together!

Gillian Rhodes is an American performer and storyteller with close to 15 years experience in the field of performing arts. From choreographing for television in Cambodia to dancing professionally in South Korea, she worked 6 years in front and behind the camera in Pakistan in films, tv, music videos, and modeling, while continuing and expanding her stage work to theatre and mime. In Dubai she works as a director, actor, and movement specialist. She’s performed in 20+ cities in 11 countries around the world, speaks five languages, and has created her own method for teaching acting called Storytelling in Motion.
